The G6 Rhino is a high-mobility, heavily armoured and technologically advanced 155mm (6.1in) self-propelled gun system from South Africa.

Its gun can be used in both direct-and indirect-fire roles.

Its direct fire range is 3km (1.9miles) and its indirect-fire range is 30km (19miles).

Mobility is provided by a purpose-built 6×6 vehicle with run-flat tyres and a central tyre-pressure control system.

Turret and hull are both heavily armoured to resist small-arms fire, landmine explosions, and even 20mm (0.78in) cannon fire across the vehicle’s 60 degree frontal arc.

Full NBC protection is optional despite sophisticated such as night version equipment and a muzzle-velocity analyser, export sales have not been good.
