The Semovente M41M90/53 was one of several self-propelled guns developed by Italy during the early years of World War 2.

Its original propose was as an aircraft gun, but like the German 88mm (3.46in) Flak weapons it was equally useful against around targets.

The 90mm (3.54in) Model 39 cannon was set to the rear of an M14/41 chassis, the engine relocated to the front of the vehicle. An L.6 light tank accompanied the M41M90/53 as an ammunition resupply vehicle, carrying 26 rounds internally and another 40 in a trailer.

The M41M90/53 saw most action in North Africa In 1941 and 1942, but after the Italian armistice, it continue in use in German hands in Italy’s mountainous northern regions.
